Welcome to Independence Driving School - teaching independence behind the wheel at your own speed!

**PLEASE be aware we will drive your child for 7 sessions - we WILL NOT license a child in 2 or 3 sessions - as a parent and since my family is sharing the road with these upcoming drivers we will do the REQUIRED time MANDATORY by DMV. The local schools out there giving a license to these students in three lessons are doing a disservice to us all.

Please note we take students on a first come first server basis so if you are eligible to drive in the next several months, contact us now to get on the schedule. We also would be happy to do groups - friends or siblings that want to take the course together will be placed in groups if you call ahead. We WILL not drive more then three students in the car at once, so please keep your requests to groups of 3 or less.

Your child should be comfortable to drive on the roadway before you begin this program. Many parents want to start the students on the program right away but bear in mind your child will be controlling the vehicle with another child in it- you as a parent understand how uncomfortable that may make you feel to have your child as the passenger of a vehicle with an inexperienced or "worse yet" frightened beginning driver. We are not asking you teach them every aspect of driving just that they can handle the vehicle interacting with other vehicles, have an understanding of right-of-way and the ability to control the vehicle responsibly for the safety of us all. Tips to begin driving: start in a parking lot, graduate to subdivision driving, town driving and then attempt highway driving. If you take your time and follow this process within 9 months of permit driving your student should be ready to confidently and successfully complete in-car program.

We are now tracking referrals and would be happy to give discounts for those students who have referred paying business to us prior to the beginning of their sessions. Please ask for details via email.
